Green Bay Bolognese

 

  • 400 g minced beef
  • 1 large onion, peeled and chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 2 sticks celery, chopped small
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • Handful shitake mushrooms, chopped
  • 2 tins chopped tomatoes
  • 1-3 tbsp tomato puree
  • 50-100 g cooked green lentils
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1tbsp Flax Fibre LSA
  • 1tbsp Green Barley Leaf Powder
  • Pinch of Fine Sea Salt with Kelp
  • Black pepper
  1. Fry onions, celery, garlic and carrots until soft.
  2. Brown meat then add to vegetables.
  3. Add tomatoes, puree, mushrooms and turmeric and cook for about 30 minutes.
  4. Add lentils and cook for 5 minutes longer.
  5. Add LSA Flax Fibre and Green Barley leaf powder just before serving.
  6. Season to taste.
